Run with Doreen Lawrence, Baroness Lawrence of Clarendon, to address the under-representation of Black men from less socially mobile backgrounds in large commercial law firms and City institutions. For eligible first year law students at participating universities UK-wide, and other first year students at some of them. Candidates are nominated by their university, so check with yours whether it takes part. No minimum grade requirement, and the insight day and assessment centre are funded. Scholars receive a 15-month development and mentoring programme, and there is a separate programme for candidates assessed but not awarded a scholarship.
