About
Built for the application journey.
Folio is a daily briefing tool for UK law students targeting training contracts at leading commercial law firms. Every morning, it delivers a curated summary of the legal news, deals, and developments that matter for applications and interviews.
Beyond the daily briefing, Folio provides firm profiles, quizzes to test your recall, aptitude test practice, interview preparation, and a tracker to manage your applications. Everything in one place.
Each morning, Folio searches dozens of legal news sources for the most relevant stories across eight practice areas: M&A, Capital Markets, Banking & Finance, Energy & Tech, Regulation, Disputes, International, and AI & Law.
Those stories are then synthesised into a concise briefing designed for the way law students actually use commercial awareness: interview-ready talking points, context on why each story matters, and links to the original sources.
Firm profiles cover 50 firms across five tiers, with application deadlines, assessment details, salary data, and interview preparation. All verified against public sources and kept up to date.
Folio was built by Gregory Vitrenko, an LLB student at King's College London. It started as a personal tool to stay on top of commercial awareness during application season and grew into something worth sharing.
Folio is an independent resource, not affiliated with any law firm, university, or recruitment service.
